Got Gate?
Uh, Gott Gate actually.

Commercial Truck Entrance. Get out, show me your id, open the hood and any compartments you have and step away from the truck.

This is an apartment off Sooner Road where I served with Elder Story in Midwest City for a short time.

Convoy and an Old Chevy

I had one delivery today. Oh I was so going out of my head that I had a headache. Actually the headache is from the heat, I'm sure. So I saw a convoy of military vehicles.

And this old chevy (or is it a Cadillac?).

Stuff and July 8th

This Stuff is from today. Driving home from lunch I got this truck. It isn't a very good shot but I like the truck. The body wasn't on the chassis last week.

My load of scrap metal. I forgot to take pictures of the scrap yard, but they got a big claw on a trackhoe and picked it up. They didn't get all of it and they tried to get the rest but they couldn't. Yesterday I was talking to Richard, who used to work with us, and he knew a guy at a scrap metal yard who was so good at those that he could pick up a penny on a bed of a truck with those things. Course, the guy here sprayed hydraulic oil all over my truck. Then he picked up an older cadillac and through it in the pile then ripped off the trunk hood. There was an old van that I used as target practice for the left over metal pipes. Mostly the front windshield which was already cracked and anything that hit it just made it crack more. Then I tried aiming for the back windows and just missed them. But when I left I found a big motor that fit in my hand and tossed it at the back windows and it contacted and the glass shattered and all of the glass fell inside the van (btw the van was laying on its side).

Oh I forgot to tell you where this metal came from. We have a large green house which we call the Gutter Connect (because it is several houses all connected into one with gutters in between all of them). It is old and was falling apart. Last wind storm we had really tore down one side so we contracted somebody from Alabama I think to fix it. They did but they left all the old metal behind so we had to find way to get rid of it.
I drove by this house. I love the blue door and the blue shutters, that's about it.

The Memorial Park by Dignity on Memorial and Kelley. A lot of the Memorial Parks here in Oklahoma are really fancy.

Yesterday, July 8th.
I liked this little patio.

This side isn't as cool.

I liked the grand entry way with the covered "hall" to the front door with a similar idea on top.

July 6th: Redbud Canyon and Tinker AFB

I went on four deliveries today. All of which were not scheduled until I didn't have any, and they were all small irrigation orders so I got to drive the Chevy truck around all day. Great air conditioning!

My first order was out to Redbud Canyon of Edmond by Covell and Douglas. They had some nice homes in their with very arbolitious and country landscapes.

This one you might not be able to see but first their are lots of trees (that I'm sure you can see). But then there is the ribbon of small shrubs and other plants snaking among them that I though was pretty cool.

I like the very country feel of this house. The wood and the landscaping are very nice.

I like the country feel of this one two. The grey stone on the jutting out additions and the redbrick of the rest of the house are very nice.

I also like that out jutting bathroom (I assume) window there at the far left of the front. I also like the wood work in the entry way.

I like this house alot. Not necessarily the columns. But if you were to victorianise it it would be very sweet. The porch continues around the house between the garage and the house. I especially liked that move.

South Air Depot Entrance (Official name I don't know). I didn't even go in this way. There is a commercial entrance (which my photo attempt failed) to the right. I was told that I neither had to enter that way but I could enter at any gate. Hey they told me to come down here.

Rows of transports.

A central display on Arnold and Air Depot. The Eaker gate is not far to you forward left.

Backtrack July 2: Okarche

This day I went to Okarche and Norman. I didn't download any pictures from Norman.

Here is the Catholic Church of Okarche.

A little warped but I thought it was still a cool picture of the watertower with the busses in their stables.

An old church across the corner from the next church.

I can't remember what kind of church this was.

July 5th: Coming Home

There isn't much.

Here we are passing Gas. Pardon us!

A John Deere plant. For what? Dunno.

Huh?

July 4th: My Naughty Drive to the Store.

So while we were in Mound City, I was sent to the store and to drive around so that the baby would fall asleep. Which I did.... (Well, what makes it naughty then?) Oh, that comes later.

Catholic Church in Mound City. By this time I realised that the baby was asleep so I went back home.

Baby is in Bed and I'm back to the store. Here's one of our Landmarks.

Kansas Hwy 7

Mound City entrance sign.

Where I got milk and grapes. And made the bad decision to see Mound City and Pleasanton. Oh it will be quick! Sure...NOT!

Downtown Mound City.

The Courthouse.

Out by Pleasanton, but what is it?

Mine Creek Civil War Memorial Museum/Visitor Center. I had no idea that the Civil War got this far west.

The Lake/Park before Pleasanton. I forgot the name of the lake and the park.

Coming into Pleasanton.

Downtown Pleasanton.

King of the Mountain.

Oh Yum. Where we ate last night.

Evidently this is the only industry in Linn County. They build cement I-beams for highway overpasses.

Coming back to Mound City.
